In 1905, the Freemasons of Thermopolis built a 5,760 square foot two-story brick and stone hall at 521 Arapahoe Street that is still in use in 2021.  After a construction fraught with challenges, the Masonic Temple of Thermopolis, WY, was completed December 24, 1905, at a total cost of $11,368.08.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Malta Lodge #17 has been the only building used by the local Freemasons for their lodge meetings since being built in 1905.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Eastern Star, Jobs’ Daughters, DeMolay, York and Scottish Rites, and Shriners have (and most still do) continue to meet in the Lodge as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
